Who these terms apply to

These terms and conditions apply to all guests making a table reservation, private hire enquiry, or gift voucher purchase at The Reindeer Hoveringham, operated by Billy Mantle, Main Street, Hoveringham, Nottinghamshire, NG14 7JR.

By making a booking or purchase, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms.

Table bookings

Making a reservation

Reservations can be made online via our booking system or by calling 0115 934 6071. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation from us.

We recommend booking in advance for all dining, particularly Sunday lunch and Friday and Saturday evenings. Walk-ins are always welcome at the bar, subject to availability.

Deposits

A deposit of £15 per person is required to secure your reservation, taken at the time of booking. The deposit is credited against your final bill on the day of your visit, so it is not an additional charge.

Deposits are fully refundable provided you cancel with at least 24 hours notice (see Cancellations below).

Cancellations

If you need to cancel or amend your reservation, please contact us as soon as possible by calling 0115 934 6071 or emailing hello@reindeerpub.com.

We ask for at least 24 hours notice to cancel or amend a booking. Deposits are refunded in full for cancellations made with at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, or guests who do not arrive, may forfeit their deposit.

We understand that plans change. If you need to rearrange, we will always do our best to find an alternative date.

Late arrivals

We will hold your table for 15 minutes beyond your reservation time. If you are running late, please call us. We cannot guarantee to hold your table beyond this time during busy service.

Group bookings

For groups of more than 8 guests, please contact us directly rather than booking online, so we can manage availability and discuss any requirements. For larger groups we may ask for a pre-order or a set menu, which we will agree with you at the time of booking.

Service charge

A discretionary service charge of 12.5% is added to all bills. This charge is distributed in full among our team and is not retained by the business.

The service charge is discretionary. You are always entitled to ask for it to be removed from your bill. Please just let us know.

Allergens and dietary requirements

Please tell us about any allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking and again when ordering. We will always do our best to accommodate you.

We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free kitchen environment. Cross-contamination is possible. We are unable to safely accommodate guests with anaphylactic allergies due to this risk. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before booking so we can discuss your needs fully.

Full allergen information for each dish is available from our team. Please ask when you arrive or when ordering.

Private hire

The Reindeer is available for private hire for a range of occasions. Full details of what is included, capacity, and pricing are available on our Private Hire page or by contacting us directly.

Private hire bookings are subject to a separate agreement confirming the specific terms of your event, including deposit, cancellation policy, and inclusions. We will provide this when your enquiry is confirmed.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are available to purchase by telephone or by email, in values of £25, £50 and £100.

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They can be redeemed against food and drink bills at The Reindeer Hoveringham, and may be used in part, with any remaining balance kept on the voucher for future use. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and are non-transferable. Lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.

Behaviour and right of admission

The Reindeer Hoveringham reserves the right to refuse admission or ask any guest to leave whose behaviour is deemed disruptive, abusive, or threatening to other guests or members of staff. We are committed to providing a welcoming environment for everyone.

Photography and social media

We are a working pub and restaurant. Discreet personal photography for social media is fine. We ask that you do not use flash photography during service or in a way that disrupts other guests.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
